She was born to Maelri and Zach Shalluat and was raised at their estate on Alderaan. They discovered her force sensitivity at a young age but agreed that they would keep her home and help her themselves to get a handle on her abilities before she went to the Academy, also deciding that they would officially send her to the Academy at age 16. However, during this time, she became a bit of a troublemaker, believing that she had to be strong to live up to her family's legacy. This thought manifested itself in Rowena acting as if she knew all she needed to know and that she could do anything because she knew how to connect with the Force. Though she didn’t express this sentiment to her parents, wanting to prove to them her power by escaping from her babysitters and just doing things that would get her in trouble time and time again. ‘They don’t think I'm strong enough…’ she began to think, planning to go along with what her parents wanted by going to the Force Academy and training under those ‘supposedly’ more powerful than herself. Deep down, she knew that those at the Academy were stronger than her, but if she had any hope of living up to her family name, she felt she had to act as if they weren't. So, she continued to express a willingness to go through the proper procedures to achieve Knighthood. She might be a little shit, but she’s a little shit who has manners and understands protocols. On her very first night, she met a few people that she thought would be interesting to get to know in the future. One such individual was Alex, whom she still did not know was her mother’s ex-husband, all thanks to Mae and Zach wanting their precious daughter to form her own opinions of people. She also met the Headmistress, Avarie, whom she immediately took a bit of a liking to. Having met various individuals, including a couple of Mandalorians, she retired for the night to review the Code, Ethics, and Tenets. Which, unbeknownst to her, she really needed to work on a few things in the “Self-Discipline” area of their Ethics. Both during and after the Academy Tournament, Rowena began to really realize some of the things she hadn't learned from her parents, including healing and hand-to-hand combat. Also during said tournament, Avarie approached Rowena and claimed her as her next apprentice. Rowena had looked up to Avarie from day 1 and was very excited to be her apprentice. Luckily for her, though, she also started making friends. Though with her, there was always a sense of friendly competition and rivalry. After experiencing attacks on the Academy and finding out exactly what happened to her homeworld, she started having a little bit of a tough time. She already felt pretty weak and like she would be a liability in battle, so when she and Drela had to hide out in the security room when a strange man showed up she couldn't help but feel scared. Once Alex and Rhag showed up and relocated them to the Andromeda, along with getting a little irritated at Alex for his constant teasing, Rowena began to think and really look into what abilities she wanted to learn so that she could get stronger and not be so much of a coward. Since then, she began working and trying harder than ever to become stronger. She learned many new abilities from Anton after he took over her training, and even began to take after him in some ways by drawing more often on the dark side and her emotions. Though she wasn't becoming fully dark-sided. This training continued during the retreat on Generis. Not long after returning from Generis, Anton took Rowena on a mission to Ilum to assist a small village with some issues they'd been having. As the pair began to investigate, however, they were ambushed and Rowena couldn't do anything but watch as their attacker stabbed Anton right through the chest and tossed him down the stairs they'd just come up. The young apprentice, now both scared and rather pissed off, decided to try and face this attacker on her own. They ran, but Rowena was quick to follow them as she grabbed the saber Anton had dropped. Soon in their fight, however, the enemy managed to get the best of her and hit her in the face with their lightsaber before she could react, following up after that by hitting her in the side of the head with their saber hilt to knock her out. Upon waking up in the med-bay, she found out just how much damage a lightsaber to the face could do. She was now permanently blinded and had to begin re-learning how to 'see'. Only this time, with the force. She'd always known the basics and how to use the force to sense things, but she'd never paid much attention to that ability since she'd never needed it. So, with her confidence a little bit rattled but her determination stronger, Rowena began pushing to become even stronger in every way she possibly could. Additional Images:

Dovan’s family was a part of House Alde, but unfortunately, he had a bit of a falling out with his parents and ended up taking a rather extended leave of absence from Alderaan to travel the galaxy as a smuggler. After a few years, he met Kelisea, the illegitimate daughter of a prominent Imperial Agent who had been “discarded” as a child to avoid causing problems for the agent. When she was older, she met Dovan, who agreed to help smuggle her out of Black Sun territory on Coruscant. Soon after getting her out, the two got married and continued travelling the galaxy together until Kelisea got pregnant with Mae and they decided it would be best if they returned to Alderaan to raise her. Thankfully, despite the tensions with his family, Dovan and Kelisea were welcomed back and given a small estate where they could raise their daughter. Unfortunately, by the time that Mae was about a year old, they realized that their family’s betrayal of the Barsail family of House Thul had come back to bite them in the butt. They wanted to protect their daughter, so they left home and went back to Coruscant where they could go into hiding, leaving their daughter fully unaware of her status in House Alde. The two fleeing parents stopped by an old friend’s place, asking him to watch and take care of her, believing that she would just be in even more danger if they kept her with them. So, Darren Ta’em, a retired Republic Commando, undertook the job of raising Mae, who began to hate her parents after a few years because they left her. Darren was a gross old man with no manners and absolutely no respect for women. Although he would never mistreat Mae, she commonly overheard him talking with his buddies about looking forward to when she would grow up. As a young child, she didn’t know what he was talking about, but as she got older, she started to figure it out and the thought made her sick. At the age of 14, she was finally fed up with his; and his friends’; vulgarity. So, she took it upon herself to “deal” with him. One night when he was drinking his Corellian Whiskey, she made sure to keep him busy talking and drinking for hours on end. This, in turn, caused his liver to shut down from the sheer amount of alcohol in his system. That night, he passed away in his sleep, leaving her to fend for herself. So, since she had inherited his starship, she took it, created the alias Saani Ta’em, and hopped aboard his freighter with the few belongings she did have. Unfortunately, she had absolutely no idea how to fly the darned thing, and after “bumping” into a few buildings on her way off of Coruscant, she managed to accidentally engage the hyperdrive. When it finally disengages, she finds herself hurtling towards the sandy surface of Tatooine. She managed to correct her trajectory just enough to avoid the ship blowing up, but she didn’t manage to stop the ship from full-on crashing into the surface. Of course, the impact caused her to hit her head against the control panel, knocking her unconscious. When she finally woke up, she hears the nondescript communication of the local “sand people”. She’d heard of them before, but only in stories, so she wasn’t sure what to do. Luckily for her, she had crashed near enough to Anchorhead that she could grab a few things and hide until the sand people passed her, before sprinting to the nearest building. Which, unfortunately for her, ended up being a cantina run by a man who was also very vulgar and inappropriate. Left with no other choice, she takes a job at the cantina so that she’ll have a place to live and so she’ll be able to start saving up some credits to get off of Tatooine someday. Unfortunately, seeing as she was considered too young to serve drinks, she was forced to become a dancer. She only got lucky with the clothes she wore, as they covered a lot more than the older women’s clothes did. Over the course of the next two years, her dancing outfit slowly got more and more revealing as she began to fill out and become more appealing to patrons. As she got older, her employer slowly became more interested in her as well. One day, he called her back into his ‘office’ after she got off her shift and gave her a rather sizable bonus for her “good work lately”. Though he didn’t actually try anything, he did make several advances towards her, making her very scared and uncomfortable, so when he finally dismissed her, she sprinted to her quarters the moment she was out of his sight. Lucky for her, this bonus was just enough to get her off of the planet, though she knew she’d need more if she was to survive on her own. So, she tucked away the credits and proceeded to work for a couple more months, working extra hard so she’d get extra tips to set aside. Throughout all this, her employer continued to make advances, though he never actually tried anything. During those two years, Mae had also found and raised 3 Anooba young when there was no sign of their pack. They’d become her friends and protectors and they eagerly welcomed her home each night. Trained through a series of whistles and clicks, the Anooba knew what Mae needed them to do, and when. This served her well during her time in the deserts of Tatooine. She was able to fend off foes and keep herself safe while scavenging for food. Being a vegetarian on a planet that’s trying to eat you was a bit of a challenge, but she managed. Thankfully, the bonus had been just enough to get her off of the planet, but she wanted to get a little bit more, so she stashed it away, and the next day she began working twice as hard to make some extra tips. However, after two months, the cantina, unfortunately, lost a few workers when Imperials came to the planet in search of an ex-Republic spy. When no one gave them the information they wanted, they killed many families, and in turn, found the spy. About a month later, Mae met a young, female Mirialan named Raldani. After finding out that Raldani’s father had been the spy and her mother had been one of Mae’s coworkers, Raldani offered to give Mae, and her 3 Anooba, a free ride to the Republic Fleet. Once Mae got to the fleet, she started looking around to figure out where to go next. After a couple days of searching, she bumped into a man who ran a Cantina on Alderaan. Just her luck. He offered her a job, and since it was the only thing she’d gotten in the couple of days she’d been there, she went ahead and took the job. Once on Alderaan, she was amazed by its beauty. She was also given a couple days to settle in before she started working. She had been working there for a few months when she met a young Alexander Barsail, though she didn’t realize at the time that he was a Barsail. But he knew who she was. After seeing him a few times, she finally got a chance to speak with him, discovering he was training to be a guard in House Alde. All it took was a well-timed “genuine” smile to make her fall head over heels for the handsome stranger. After that, it took only a few meetings for them to begin dating, despite only just meeting. As naive as she was, Mae didn’t know any better when it came to dating, and she simply followed her heart. They took about a year and a half to get to know each other before he not only became an honor guard for House Alde but also decided to propose. In the meantime, people began to talk as they started to realize who she was. She didn’t hide her real name, but she also didn’t know her connections or why her parents left, only that they did. She didn’t really believe them at first, but right after Alex joined the Honor Guard, the House’s current leader confirmed her heritage, claiming to be a distant relative. She made it clear she did not wish to be nobility, which they reluctantly accepted before returning her parent’s estate to her. Three years after they got married, they went on an anniversary date to a cave. Mae was so in awe of the beauty of the cave that she neglected to realize that she was walking herself right into a trap. So, as she walked around the cave, looking at the unique vegetation, Alex followed behind her as he waited for her to activate the well-thought-out trap. When she inadvertently caused a cave-in, he acted quickly to “save” her, which ended in her receiving a large gash over her right eye. One that would later turn into a lasting scar and memory. After watching her husband die in front of her, with her unable to do anything to save him, Mae would return to her estate to mourn the loss as she blamed herself for his death. Though she didn’t have long before she discovered there was a bounty on her head from an unknown source. Similar to how her parents had fled the estate before her, Mae left the beautiful planet that had become her home in the dead of night, with her 3 Anooba still following obediently at her side. As a young woman in her early 20s, she traveled the galaxy for only a couple of months before the bounty hunter caught up with her on Hoth. She’d commanded her Anooba to stay on the ship to protect them against the freezing temperatures when the bounty hunter cornered her. Scared and unsure of what to do, Mae closed her eyes, wishing he would go away. That was when the force awakened within her and sent the bounty hunter flying, unintentionally, into the jaws of a hungry Wampa. When she opened her eyes, she watched in fear as the wampa dragged the screaming bounty hunter towards its den. It was during that time that a mysterious stranger approached her and led her back to the Republic’s base on Hoth. Once there, they told her to search out the Commonwealth and their Force Knights, as they’d seen her use the Force and they believed the Commonwealth to be a better fit for her than the Republic. Taking the stranger’s advice, Mae searched out the Commonwealth, and soon joined their Force Academy, becoming a Padawan to Master Noora Ardevan. It was during this time that she met Zach, another Padawan, who she soon became very close with, spending much of her time with him during their journeys as Padawans of the Commonwealth. Unfortunately, it was also during this time that Mae eventually discovered the bounty on her head still existed. Lucky for her, she’d made a friend in the Underworld who was able to give her the name of the one who requested the bounty. Someone whose name was Lars. A name Mae did not recognize. Thankfully, Mae’s friend was able to void the bounty so that no one else could ever take it up again. It wasn’t long, though, before she would find out who it was. After finishing their training, Mae and Zach would finally become Force Knights of the Commonwealth. And during a party to celebrate their success, Zach would propose to Mae. During her time with him, her heart had begun to heal and she accepted his proposal, making her the happiest she had been since losing Alex, and brave enough to move back into her estate. This happiness was short-lived though, as Lars would soon attack her Alderaanian estate, unsuspecting of the many friends she had made and the Commonwealth Force Knights guarding her. Unfortunately, he managed to kidnap her, shocking her as he took off his helmet to reveal that he was actually Alex, the first man she’d ever given her heart to. Alex then brought Mae to GE Industries ©. A place where he could do what he needed to in relative peace. He would then use a ritualistic crystal coated in Sith Poison to stab straight through her hand to both infect her and gather some of her blood via the crystal. No matter what she said, no matter how much she cried out in pain, he wouldn’t be moved, immediately knocking her out when the crystal had finished what it was doing. Unfortunately for her, he still needed her to produce a backup crystal, so he would throw her into a kolto tank to keep her out of trouble while he waited for her to be able to handle a second procedure. However, the Commonwealth Force Knights had resources he didn’t, and they were able to quickly track down their missing Knight before he could even begin the second part of the procedure. They rescued Mae and nearly brought him down before he jumped out a window and disappeared. Life was mostly uneventful for Mae for a long while after that, taking a padawan of her own in a young girl named Branna Togai. Branna struggled sometimes, but Mae took to the girl rather quickly and enjoyed her tenacity, even after finding out she had done some things that were less than okay by Commonwealth standards. However, she would take Branna all the way to Knighthood as Noora had done with her. Though, unbeknownst to her, Mae was being affected by the Sith Poison all the while. Doing things that she never would have done under normal circumstances. Mae was diplomatic, kind, and generally tried not to fight as her Master had taught her. But now she was brash, more violent, and got angry easily. Before Mae and Zach got married, another surprise was in store for them as they discovered a member of Zach’s family was actually at the Commonwealth Academy, in the form of Master Eva Shalluat, Zach’s former Master, and apparently sister. Meaning that Mae was soon to join the Shalluat family, bringing her all the closer to Eva as they began to bond over becoming sisters-in-law. As the wedding day approached, people finally began to realize what was up with Mae, and Noora met with her to remove the residual darkness that lingered in her body. With that finally cleared up, Mae was able to start her new life as Maelri Shalluat. Before too long, the couple discovered they were pregnant with a little girl who they would name Rowena Alani Shalluat. During this time, Mae and Zach both took a rather long break to protect both Mae and their baby. Thankfully, things were rather uneventful during this time, and the family was able to rest to some degree. Until Rowena was born, there were thankfully no big events that occurred. Once she was born, life got a little crazy as she grew and they discovered how much of a little troublemaker she was. In one instance, while Mae and Zach were attending a party after one of the Academy’s Padawans became a Knight, the little 6-year-old Rowena managed to sneak away from her babysitter long enough to find her parents and her Auntie Eva. Thankfully, Eva and Zach took Rowena to play with her while Mae spent a little more time with everyone. Unfortunately, though, things took a little bit of a turn when Mae saw none other than Alex walk into the room. With death in her eyes and a growl in her throat, Mae marched right over to him and held her lightsaber in her face, intent on making him pay for infiltrating the Commonwealth’s sacred home. What she didn’t realize, however, was Alex’s new position within the Commonwealth after having his memory wiped by the Emperor himself. After getting a rather large scolding from Grand Imperator Blackwood, Mae finally relented and ended up in a discussion with Alex where he ended up explaining a little bit of what happened and why he was there. Mae felt a little bit bad for him, as she’d had her suspicions that Emperor Rhade had done a similar thing to another individual, Martin aka Darth Yaotá. Not too terribly long after this, Mae managed to come to terms with Alex’s presence that she and Zach agreed to allow Alex to perform a procedure on Mae that would splice Morellian DNA with her own to allow her to live a longer life. She still would not live nearly as long as her husband, daughter, or sister-in-law, but she would at least be able to live long enough to see her child grow up. Eventually, Mae finally returned to her rank as a Force Knight of the Commonwealth since Rowena was old enough to not be watched 24/7. Mae knew that it would only be a couple more short years before Rowena was old enough to begin her own training, but she wanted to get back into the field and finally return to the job she’d loved for so long. Especially as she took up breeding and training Varactyls again. With Rowena joining the Academy, Mae began to see her daughter less and less. While she knew her little baby was growing up, she couldn't help but worry. She managed to find out early on about Rowena's 'attitude' of being strong because she was a Shalluat. Unbeknownst to Mae, however, there were other thoughts going through her daughter's mind. Thankful that Rowena had people around to train her, Mae slowly began to worry less and work on growing her own skills further. During the retreat on Generis, Mae finally met Narik, who she chose to take as her next apprentice. After having not taken an apprentice since Branna, Mae was certainly nervous. But she held high hopes for the young man, and very much began to look forward to training him. Since she had been working on enhancing her own skills, Mae actually felt like she could train Narik in a way that would take him down a path where he wouldn't end up turning his back on the Commonwealth as she believed Branna had. She'd seen the girl only twice since her disappearance, but said nothing and allowed the girl her space. But now, with a new apprentice, Mae hoped to regain her confidence in taking and training apprentices.

Shakik was a spy for the Republic in his younger years. After infiltrating the Empire for a couple of years, they began to catch onto him, so he went back to the Republic only to find that they didn’t need him anymore due to some younger hotshot coming in and taking his position. So, he “retired” and settled down on Tatooine where he met Esholdku, a beautiful female Mirialan who worked at a local cantina in Anchorhead. Shortly thereafter, Shakik and Esholdku discovered that he’d accidentally gotten her pregnant during what was supposed to be a one-night stand, and so, because of this accidental child, they decided to get married to save Esholdku’s reputation. Not long after that, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl whom they named Raldani. They hadn’t planned on having a child, obviously, but it had happened and now they were married. Within a couple of years, Raldani has a baby sister, who was planned and is now the pride and joy of the family. This left Raldani to half-fend for herself, being the “accident” of the family. A shameful memory to her parents about the circumstances surrounding her conception. Over the next 5 years, Shakik and Esholdku had 4 more children. This time, all boys with the last two being twins. It wasn’t easy for the two adults to provide for their growing family. Especially since Esholdku was still working at the same cantina, only now as a bartender, and Shakik was taking odds and ends jobs in Anchorhead while starting up a moisture farm. As Raldani grew, she began to note the arguments her parents had on a nearly daily basis. This was partially due to their dwindling finances from Shakik’s moisture farming endeavor and partly because they’d never intended to get married, let alone have children, until Raldani came along, so they never truly loved each other. Even after they were married. By the time Raldani was 10 years old, she had 5, planned, younger siblings and was the one who was always expected to give up some or all of her food so that her younger siblings could eat. As time passed, it became more evident that her role in the family was less that of child or sibling, and more of an inconvenience. The loveless marriage and the lack of income were enough to strain a family even the most normal of circumstances, but this level of pressure was too much for one young lady and would eventually weigh on her to the point she would finally just leave behind what little she had for her siblings and leave home for good. She just could not take the penniless and heartless environment anymore. If she was going to be unloved, at least she would make sure she never had to worry about money again. When she was about 11 years old, she got tired of being hungry and decided to swipe some fruit from a local vendor when they weren’t watching. She nearly got caught but managed to slip away, with the vendor not knowing it was her. In the meantime, the few kids she had become “friends” with, started to laugh at her when her father was fired from yet another job. So, between her home life and her “friends” turning into bullies, she was fed up and started stealing more than just food. Soon enough, she had a little stash of stuff that she had stolen, and she used this stash to start making a few credits here and there, saying that she “found” these items, and selling them to people who needed them. But she had a hard time hiding her stash of items and credits from her parents. But by the time she was in her teens, she had enough credits to get out. During those few short years, though, she had used her skills to steal little bits of food for her little siblings until she finally decided it was time for her to leave. After finally running away at the tender age of 16, Raldani would pay her way off of the planet, leave home. and put her street skills to good use. After having about 5 years of experience, Raldani was on her own and putting those thieving skills to the test. After spending about a month on the Republic Fleet, she found someone who would take her down to the surface of Rishi. She was sure she could find some work there with her skill set, so she wasn’t too worried about making back the little bit of money she had spent getting off of Tatooine and now onto Rishi. Once on the planet’s surface, she managed to find a small corner on the outskirts of the main outpost to make herself a little shack. It wasn’t perfectly waterproof, but it did its job. She began taking small jobs from various locals to earn some credits. After she began earning enough credits, she started to frequent the local cantina, eventually getting herself into a couple of bar fights. Of course, she didn’t have any fighting experience and got herself beat up, but an older male Zabrak nicknamed Venom, took an interest in her and offered to teach her the art of Teräs Käsi. She was hesitant at first, seeing as she was still a child, but she eventually accepted his offer and began training with him regularly until she was finally able to take down the people she’d fought with originally. Not long after, in a failed attempt to steal the loot from a well-known pirate who went by Skinner Nash she was given a choice to join his crew or suffer some consequences. Reluctantly, Raldani agreed. She quickly absorbed their world as her old life on Tatooine finally began to fade into a distant memory. It only took a few years of working for the man before he saw her talents and put her in charge of more important runs, and gave her a crew of 3 to help support her runs. When she was 21, she was sent on a job back to Tatooine. Not long after landing, she decided to take a trip back to her childhood home and see her family, even though they hadn’t cared for her previously. Upon arriving, she found the place ransacked, and the bodies of not just her parents, but all of her younger siblings too, lying on the floor of their home. Sure, she’d seen death before, but the scene before her was a lot for her to handle. She felt almost responsible for their deaths, wondering if they’d still be alive if she hadn’t left home. Soon, she was met by one of their neighbors, who explained that the Empire had come in search of her father and how they had massacred many families in the area. This angered Raldani, knowing that her father had been a spy for the Republic at one time and that now he was dead because the Republic did nothing to help. That was the moment when she decided that she would never side with either the Republic or the Empire after that. She gathered up what she could of some of their old belongings, including her father’s eyepatch and her mother’s favorite vase. Before she left the planet again, she went for a walk through Anchorhead and bumped into a 16-year-old human girl who was on her way to work. After finding out that “work” for the young girl was at the same Cantina her own mother had worked at, she decided to help the girl, whose name was Maelri Tessar. After helping the teenager to gather up her things, she snuck Mae onto her ship and made a “pit-stop” at the Republic fleet to drop her off. Knowing she’d at least be a little safer in the hands of the Republic than the Empire, Raldani helped her sneak off the ship and hide within the fleet before giving her a few extra credits and leaving to go back to Rishi. When she returned to Rishi, she put all of her anger into beginning the process of finding the person who gave the go-ahead to track down and kill her family. For the next two years, she spent all her free time learning how to use explosive rounds, set up explosives, and overall use of pyrotechnics. Slowly, she tracked down and found several of the Imperial soldiers who had been involved and took them out one by one. Each time leaving their burnt corpses lying next to a small street painting of a phoenix. This eventually led to her being called “The Phoenix” by Imperials. Every time she found one, she would wear armor designed to protect herself from not only the flames but also to protect her identity. A couple of years went by, Raldani was sent out on yet another solo job. The job itself was uneventful, but when she got back, she found the place to be under attack from a band of pirates whose bad side they managed to get on. After finding Skinner’s daughter, Alula Nash, they gathered together what weapons and crew they could and began to fight back against their enemy. Unfortunately, by the time they forced the enemy to retreat, the Ivory Company’s base was in shambles and many were dead. Even Skinner had been severely injured and didn’t last more than a few days with his injuries. Leaving the Ivory Company to his daughter. It was after this event that Raldani knew it was time to strike out on her own. After saying goodbye to those she had been working with for so long, she took her credits, ship, and a couple of droids with her as she left Rishi for Nar Shaddaa. It didn’t take long before she made her way to Nar Shaddaa and started taking jobs while living out of her ship. After a couple of years doing this, she made her way to the Blaster’s Bastion, where she met Captain Dracazian Stormdragon and Tirvi Madee. These two would become the first non-droid friends she had since leaving the Ivory Company. This would eventually lead to her participating in a train heist. Unfortunately, she tried shooting an explosive round at a target and it, instead, blew up in her face. This left her with a permanent scar over her left eye and decreased sight in that same eye. After a few years, though, she would go blind in that eye. Now, after working in the Underworld for several years, she eventually met and fell in love with Zeddicus Arrowood, otherwise known as Darth Vulkan. They kept their relationship secret, for at first they didn’t even know what kind of relationship they had. Then, after a while, during a trip to make a formal alliance with the Ivory Company, Raldani discovered she was pregnant and decided to stay a few extra months until the child was born. When she finally gave birth, there was not one, not two, but three little babies. Two humans and one Mirialan, all with their father’s fiery red hair. With the intent to keep her new family safe, Raldani revealed to select individuals her secret of being the Phoenix. One being the former Darth Chadwick, now Alexander Basileus, who helped her find information on those who killed her parents and siblings. Lucky for her, the one who initiated it was already dead, the old Darth Drac’nox. Now she only had to take out the one who remained. With the agreement that he would help when she was ready, Raldani agreed to assist the Commonwealth in their fight against the Sith Cult, but she would do so as The Phoenix so that she could maintain her “neutral” appearance to her other clients and not put a larger target on her children’s heads. After hearing news of a new "emperor", Raldani decided to lay low, nearly disappearing off of peoples' radar to do some research. Upon gathering much intel as she could, she returned to Nar Shaddaa to follow a Commonwealth team into the Black Lodge to investigate further. While there, both she and the Commonwealth team managed to swipe a few samples of the stims there. Raldani, however, also managed to grab samples of some little creature-things (which she didn't know were Prions at the time), as well as an individual in carbonite, before she had to jump out the window in a last-ditch attempt to escape the now firey room. Once she built up the courage, she finally decided to remove the individual from the carbonite, only for them to be more of an "it" than a "them". It seemed to be insectoid but it also tried to use the force to control her into letting it out of the cell she'd placed it in. Luckily, she realized what it was doing and didn't have to worry about being controlled. She tried asking it many questions, even shocking it, but that only seemed to make matters worse, as it began coating the cell with this black goop. Figuring now was probably a bad time to be alone, she flicked on her emergency distress signal, which reached Alex first. Though, when he arrived, he was a bit irritated. They dealt with the thing, getting it back into carbonite in the process, but once the job was done, Alex turned and scolded Raldani for what she'd been doing. In her defense, she'd been investigating Flavin and the inverted Commonwealth symbol she kept seeing. But alas, Alex didn't really care about that, confiscated all the stuff she'd snagged at the Black Lodge, and Raldani left, fighting back flashbacks of her father yelling in her face all those years ago. This threw Raldani back into old habits of drinking until she passed out and into a spiral of nightmares and flashbacks. She'd had a hold on it for years, but having someone she trusted yell in her face threw her back. Normally, yelling didn't bother her. But having Alex, someone she would have trusted with her life, yell in her face? That was a different story. She wanted to tell someone but didn't want to seem weak at the same time, so she threw herself back into her work and tried to avoid the nagging thoughts. Eventually, she decided to begin creating an AI unit inside her home. Took a lot of money, but she was very much looking forward to it, as she planned to integrate it into her armor later down the road. But that was when things got shakey again. She got a message. A message saying that 'the golden one' had betrayed her, but soon she found out that it was not only her but Yabbis and Branna as well. Once they found some graffiti art detailing where and when the 'golden one' would be arriving back on Nar Shaddaa, the three hired some thugs, got dressed up in disguises, and moved into position. There were suspicions that it was a Commonwealth Apprentice, but nothing solid as they didn't have time to investigate further. Once in position, they waited until they saw this 'golden one', and they struck immediately, with Branna grabbing the 'golden one' and taking off while Yabbis and Raldani held off the Commonwealth Force Knight, Anton. Little did they know, the 'golden one' would be attacked by another entity who took them from Branna, ending in them being injured. When Anton ran off, Raldani, Yabbis, and Branna did as well, leaving the scene. While their mission had simply been to spook the 'golden one' to teach them not to mess with the underworld, things went a bit farther than intended. This led to Alex showing up at Raldani's home, immediately beginning to blame Vulkan for the Apprentice's injuries, as they were done using an ability that Alex seemed to believe only Vulkan knew. Thankfully, Raldani had security footage that gave her husband a solid alibi. But this only caused Alex to turn on Raldani, raising his voice at her and demanding to know why she was working for/with the Kitsune and wanting to know whatever she knew. Despite telling the truth that she didn't know anything and that the outcome of the mission was not the intention, he didn't believe her and insisted she set up a meeting with the other two individuals that were there for questioning. Unfortunately, this interaction more or less broke her trust in Alex, all but completely. She didn't want to be on his bad side, and he'd helped her on more than one occasion, but being yelled at by him, now twice, was too much. She removed him from her emergency contact list and made sure that he wasn't on the list of individuals that would be allowed into her home when she got her AI up and running. While she still wished to repair the broken trust between them, she didn't hold out much hope. Only intending to ever speak with him if they happened to be in the same location, or she absolutely needed his help. Reluctantly, she did agree to his terms, and after much debating, work, and time, eventually got a message from Alex with a deadline and a location for the meeting to take place. Little did he know, that during the four months the entire Academy, Military, and Clan Gra'tua were MIA, a new version of the Rakghoul plague had broken out. And she'd seen some stuff that made her believe it wasn't a normal outbreak. Now with much longer, much more shaggy hair and a new outfit (well, not so new looking anymore, but still new), Raldani had been fighting for her home as the outbreak ravaged the underbelly of Nar Shaddaa, among other planets. After speaking with Yabbis and Branna, it was decided that they would try to talk Alex out of wanting the original meeting. Plus with the information that Raldani had regarding the plague outbreak and what was so different about it, they hoped to persuade him to drop the accusations and leave them be. But only time would tell.
