The Commonwealth and her allies gathered with Emperor Rhade on the flagship Andromeda to journey to Rhen Var on the word of the mysterious figure that they had discovered last week. As the faithful ship soared through hyperspace, the group got the rundown of their upcoming mission while enjoying some fresh drinks at the ship's cantina, the Emperor’s Barrell. Once in orbit around Rhen Var, the Commonwealth group all descended down to the hangar, taking one of the transports to the planet's surface. Emperor Rhade and all gathered on the surface, snow crunching beneath their boots, a water sunlight streaking through the overcast sky. After a few moments, Rhade alerted the group- He was feeling a pull, something through the force that he could not resist. This had to be the reason that they were told to come here. With haste, the group tread through the snow and ice, a mixed group of force sensitives, smugglers, mandalorians, and troopers. The journey across Rhen Var’s icy terrain wasn’t easy and it took some time for them to arrive at the destination of the pull that Emperor Rhade was chasing, but finally they came across the mouth of a crystal cave. One by one they entered the cave, gently glowing crystals that hung from the ceiling and sprouted from the walls lit their way inside. Further in the group went until a flash, nearly blinding in the dull light of the cave, made them all come to a sudden halt. Before them stood the same force ghost that they had encountered back on Hoth, the very same one that had instructed them all to come here. The figure revealed himself to be Ulic Qel-Droma and he urged the Commonwealth to help purge the darkness that was corrupting the area. There was something there that was preventing the future from being seen and as something big was coming, something dark, it was making it impossible to prepare how best to fight it. The Commonwealth was more than willing to take on this task so they all followed Rhade further into the cave, seeking out the source the corruption as Ulic had requested. Deep within was a crystal. It thrummed with a dark, evil energy. Rhade got close, bending the knee as his gloved fingers glanced the surface. In response, a surge of energy blasted from the crystal, manifesting in a phantom. The energy coming from this thing was very dark, overwhelmingly so, which caused the use of the light to be difficult, the future obscured. This would explain why no one had been able to determine the source of the Commonwealth's trouble thus far or get a better reading on the mysterious figure that had been plaguing them. Together, the group managed to best the Phantom, leaving the future clear. Ulic appeared once more, instructing those who were Force Knights to meditate together on the future. Those who could not participate stood guard, making sure that no one and nothing would ambush the group. Two possible scenes played before their eyes. One was a vivid image of a galaxy in turmoil, destruction on every planet. At the helm of it all was a man shrouded in black and his face was that of Emperor Rhade. While alarming, this scene bled away into another. Here saber clashed against saber, crimson versus purple. Two figures were locked in a deadly battle and both wore the face of Emperor Rhade. The image faded and along with it, Ulic. While those without the force had not seen a thing, those with all looked alarmed, some even struggling to get back to their feet. None was more concerned than Rhade himself. Alex recognized many of these scenarios as the ones he and Tobias had witnessed while Rhade had been unconscious for those weeks after the events on Quesh. Uneasy but armed with some more information, the Commonwealth group made their way back to the Andromeda to try to make sense of these visions and how best they could protect the galaxy from what was coming.

Maestys kept up his chase of Reyael for weeks but it was soon apparent that he wasn't going to catch her. Knowing who she would have trusted to keep the kids safe, he decided to alter her plan and attack a new target: BTE, the home and business of Alex Basileus, formerly Darth Chadwick and Maestys' ward of sorts, also the location of the twins. Reyael figured that would be his next plan so rather than being the one chased, she began to hunt after Maestys herself. She arrived at BTE shortly before Maestys did. With a bag of rations and supplies, Reyael took to the woods, stalking along the forest line, keeping an eye out for Maestys. She needed him to come here and make his move so that he didn't get scared off by knowing she was already there. The man was a coward through and through and she had no doubt in her mind that her opportunity to end him then and there would be gone if had gotten wind that she was laying in wait for him. Alex was halfway up one of the mountains, the twins in tow. A difficult hike had just occurred for the four year olds and they were about to begin a lesson. Rey watched on, her heart swelling for those two kids. She had never thought she would be the maternal sort, but there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She watched quietly as the twins did their best to annoy their uncle. She smirked. Like mother like offspring. Rey herself had once enjoyed nothing more than to get under Alex's skin. She was in the middle of reminiscing when a shadow loomed over the snowy scene. Maestys was finally making his move. Still blind to Rey's presence, Maestys began to level threats at Alex, who made quick work of putting the twins to sleep. As he did so, Reyael left the tree line, calling out to Maestys, insulting his intelligence and looks, knowing that he would rise to the bait. With Maestys distracted, Alex hid the twins away while the show down began. Reyael and Alex stood before Maestys, the trio swapping insults until Reyael finally had enough. She called on the force, using her anger, rage, and hate towards this sniveling excuse for a man to fuel her power. With the cybernetic eyes Maestys had designed and Alex had installed in her, Reyael unleashed the most powerful burst of deadly sight, a move Maestys himself had taught her, at her ex-husband. Maestys didn't have the time to put up any sort of defense. This close range, he took the full brunt of the attack. He screamed, like the man-child he was, skin boiling, eyes melting, and while it was really all in his head, the once emperor succumbed to the excruciating pain his mind and body was convinced he was feeling and keeled over, dead. Alex was disappointed he didn't even get a chance to fight the man that had belittled him so, but Reyael had his respect. Reyael retrieved the twins, holding them close and promising them that they were safe now, no more running. Alex buried Maestys deep in the snow, so that the twins wouldn't have to see their father dead. From the pack she had brought, Reyael pulled out an assortment of journals, offering them back to Alex. They were his old research notes from years ago that she had stolen when Alex had first died. In return, Alex promised to continue teaching her the ways of Sith Alchemy, as well as fulfilling his promise of seeking out a pardon and sanctuary for Reyael within the Commonwealth. Until that sanctuary was granted, she would have to remain hidden.
